Sooo, this one took me a while. ///////

I drew Hestia from Danmachi, since I had no other ideas for this week and then she kinda inspired me to go all out and actually practice something I'm not usually comfortable with; which is the dreaded Background. I'm a total novice at it so please be gentle with me~ ;3;

The idea started out simple, her sitting on a cloud in the sky; but then it took a drastic turn after I failed the main cloud she was sitting on.. Orz

Anyways, this was the end result and I'm happy with it~ :meow:

Wow, this is brilliant, the colours and shading are absolutely amazing! I especialy love how you did the skin, it looks so realistic but still fits into your Anime/Manga style. If you wouldn't have mentioned it in the description, I would have never guessed that you rarely draw backgrounds, you really did a great job with the water and the rocks.

One thing I noticed is that all of the clouds are really small, so they seem kinda scattered, if you know what I mean. I guess the sky would look more natural, if you would have drawn some more bigger clouds.

I really like the concept and how the sky takes up most of the space. It gives your work a really fitting and comfortable atmosphere of simplicity and freedom.
There's only one thing that kind of disturbs this atmosphere and that's how you positioned your character. She's right in the middle and almost symmetrical which seems a little stiff to me.

Nonetheless, this is really a wonderful piece of art!
